Hydrogen Evolution- Find suitable processes for hydrogen generation for future energy - Photochemical decomposition of water at semiconductors(MoS2, FeS2, FeSe2, MoSe2)○ Hydrogen EvolutionThe photoelectrochemistry of semiconductors have been one of the most extensively studied fields. It is associated with solar energy application and photochemical energy con version. Especially, most of studies were about hydrogen evolution.Environmental conern is recently inducing a renewed interest in hydrogen evolution by water photoelectrolysis. When a semiconductor electrode absorbs photons with an energy greater than its band gap, electrons can be exited to the conduction band thus creating electron-hole pairs. In the case of an n-type semiconductor, the electric field drives photogenerated holes toward the interfacial region and electrons toward the interior of the electrode. Such photogenerated holes and electrons can redoxize various chemical species. The reducing ability in a highly doped semiconductor mainly depends on the energy level of the conduction band. For efficient solar energy conversion and hydrogen evolution, we study about the cluster materials. We make various mixed crystal powder, and try to explain the effect of hydrogen evolution and electrochemical characterization on synthetic catalysts. -
